N.B. a small portion of the buffer zone of Gilfach Quarry (in Pembrokeshire) extends over the border into Carmarthenshire and has been identified on the Proposals Map.
[110] Operations do not involve the extraction of minerals and so no buffer zone is required around the site. Also safeguarded is the marine landing site situated approximately 800m to the east of the Llanelli Sand Dredging site due to its importance in the landing of marine sand.
