In Summary both residents and wildlife would be affected combined with the safety issues mentioned, including traffic and access.
It's clear that the location needs a rethink, just because land is available does not make it the correct place to develop.
There are a number of issues I feel make this a problematic development location.
1)
As I understand it,some of the land is not owned by the council ,area D, this would necessitate using tax payers money to purchase it,to my mind an unnecessary expense.
2) As someone who both drives, cycles and runs along Trostre Rd ,I regularly see the already large volumes of traffic that use it,to then add to this with further volume and the potential hazards another entrance would cause seems foolhardy.
3) As previous sites ,in poorly chosen locations have shown, they can have a drastic effect on property prices and indeed to the quality of life to local residents.
4)The land adjacent is used by children and dog walkers alike which would deprive both groups of that access.
5) it is a natural habitat too wild life and as such should be left undisturbed.
Disagree, the allocation of the site within the LDP has been subject to full consideration through the site assessment methodology. As part of this assessment process a detailed site pro forma has been prepared. Further evidential work will be submitted as part of the submission documents to inform the examination
