Part of the development is on a flood plane and in my opinion the lane will not be able to support the new development unless the rural nature of the location is totally lost.
A general point about services and the school in particular. The school is virtually full and the site is certainly not big enough to take a large number of extra pupil. This will result in extra journeys as parents take their parents to school out of the local catchment area. If we allow these developments to go ahead Llangynnwr will become even more like a suburb of Carmarthen and the identity of the place that so many people value will become even more diluted and lost.
In the event of all three sites being developed the size of the community of Llangynnwr will be increased dramatically and I believe that this will be an action that will be opposed by virtually everyone that lives in this community.
