Safleoedd Ymgeisio a Gyflwynwyd / Candidate Site Submissions

SR/004/035

Representation ID: 1826

Received: 05/02/2019

Respondent: Betws Community Council

Representation Summary:

The communities concerns are not only for the immediate vicinity but are also for those who reside below this area.

Access to and from the area is of great concern, which would cause further congestion and pollution to the local area.

There are old colliery workings under the area.

Water run off is another concern, there are already issues with the bottom part of Betws Road flooding.

There are already long standing issues regarding the sewerage/drainage system in the area, again any new development would increase these problems.

The sites have two rights of way running through them and locally public footpaths are limited.

The loss of habitat in the areas would not be acceptable as there are Royal Ferns and Oak trees growing.

The site also encroaches into the rural/agricultural land that leads to an area of natural beauty.
