The area is a valuable green space used for recreation purposes by children from Teglan Park and the wider Tycroes area.
Covenant held by Land Registry states that this area is to only be used for recreational use only.
Overground electric pylons on site would make development difficult.
Many residents have expressed their support for this area to be protected from development.
