most certainly keep this as an open countyside space, as it has footpaths running through the centre of the site, from Pantyffynnon to Tycroes, this whole site was offered to the then officers of CCC when the site was re instated at the cessation of opencast mining, for a peppercorn payment (£25) and in their shortsightedness and prolonged delay, the NCB lost patience and offered it up the open market and was snapped up by surrounding farmers,
So well done the current CCC officers, who obviously see the use made of this great open space by the 3 surrounding communities
