Formally object to the proposal to include this field within the proposed development plan for the following reasons.

The rear of the property is within a rural setting and continues to have final rural views. major factor in our decision to purchase the Plot from the County Council was the fact that there was no development planned to the rear of the Property.

If the area of land to the rear of our Property is developed as a result of Planning Permission being granted by the County Council then there would no longer be rural views from our Property, but only of houses. In those circumstances there would be an argument that the County Council will be liable for damages to ourselves and other property owners.

There are a number of sites in Whitland upon which planning is currently in place, upon which no development has taken place so why is it felt necessary to include further green field sites in the planning proposals. These sites are near all amenities in the town of Whitland.

The land behind the Property is a County Council farm. Such holdings are extremely valuable to the young people of Carmarthenshire wishing to start a career in agriculture. Selling such an asset would deprive the youngsters of such an opportunity. Some of the other proposed sites do not involve such good agricultural land.
