The respondent objects to the proposal and claims that are already sites in Whitland with current planning that are not shown as candidate sites. In terms of these sites, they are claimed to be brownfield which are near to amenities and therefore the merits of developing a green field site (i.e. the candidate site) are questioned in this regard. Concerns are expressed in terms of loss of visual amenity, with the respondent making reference to the sale of plots by the Council - with potential legal implications highlighted in relation thereto. The respondent concludes by posing a question as to why the Magstim development, or some of the larger sites in Whitland, shouldn't be extended.
