Representation Summary:

It is vital that the distinctive character of our local communities are maintained and are not assimilated into neighbouring communities, otherwise there is a very real danger of community identity being irreversibly lost with social cohesion and "community" itself being destroyed.

It's the feeling of belonging to and being part of a particular community that is the key to a healthy community and to risk destroying that by merging communities is unnecessary and irresponsible.

The communities of Bryn and Llangennech are completely different and it is vital that they remain so. These are still rural communities and to allow development on these proposed sites would endanger their identity as such and would change their character becoming more like one small town rather that two distinct villages.
With the recent, current and future proposed developments in the Bryn (Heol y Mynnydd), the increased traffic flow along the B4297 has had a huge detrimental effect namely in pollution, noise and traffic volume. It has now become very difficult and dangerous attempting to drive out of our property due to the greatly increased volume of traffic. Also, the loss of visual amenity from our property would also be very detrimental to the values of the properties along Penllwyngwyn Road.
I would argue that the development of these proposed sites is wholly unnecessary and would place existing amenities under unsustainable strain and therefore I would strongly urge you to reject these proposals.
