Representation Summary:
The land is the site of the important Roman fort ( Alabum ) . Carmarthenshire County Council commissioned an Archaeological Report on this land in 2006. This was undertaken by Cambria Archaeology. The summary of the report was ' both the quality and the quantity of archaeological remains across the whole site was extremely high'. In my opinion it would be sacrilege to develop land which was the original Roman settlement in Llandovery.
