Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

In previous consultations there has been much discussion and evidence of continuing excessive water problems at the site. It makes no sense whatsoever to exacerbate the situation with more housing - see pictures attached of flooding in recent months.

Ein hymateb:

The new housing allocation SeC6(iii) was included as an additional site during the Examination. It has been subject to full consideration through the site assessment methodology. As part of this assessment process a detailed site pro forma has been prepared, and any potential constraints have been considered.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I object to sites SR/069/001 and SR/069/003 in Fforest for inclusion in the Carmarthenshire LDP. The council previously judged no extra land was needed; priority should be reusing empty homes, and recent Clos Benallt expansion has not supported local people or the Welsh language. The land is unsuitable: wet, spring-fed, with known drainage failures, sinking foundations and flood risk, contrary to TAN 15. Existing attenuation has already failed. Further development would worsen severe traffic congestion (TAN 18), harm residents, and threaten an adjacent SSSI. It would erode countryside character (TAN 5) and overburden already stretched infrastructure in this area.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Traffic is the biggest concern with safety congestion and already existing problems with junction 48. Council previously took the view that there was adequate residential land. The wet land contains known drainage constraints.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I object to the proposed housing development on the field adjacent to Clos Benallt Fawr, Fforest Road. This green space is important for local wildlife and helps maintain the rural character of the area. The development would significantly increase traffic on Fforest Road, which already experiences congestion. When the M4 Hendy junction is closed due to accidents, roadworks or diversions, traffic is redirected through Fforest Road, causing major delays and disruption for residents. Additional housing would worsen these problems. I am also concerned about drainage, flooding risks and increased pressure on local schools, healthcare services and other infrastructure.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Whilst the respondent refers to MACM/SeC6/f in his objection, the actual objection is for the site to the rear i.e additional site MACM/SeC6/c citing concerns regarding flooding on the site.
