In the local area the roads are already congested, with the development of more housing road congestion will increase, leading to health issues and possible accidents.
There are no more available school places
Demand for medical services, including a doctor is high now and with additional homes being developed demand will increase.
The area is over developed now, there are few employment opportunities for the local area.
Local services, such as sewerage are stretched now. More housing will place even more pressure on services.
There is a potential for environmental damage which could affect local wildlife.

This site along with other proposals on the Bryn and Penllwyngwyn road amount to 9.430 Ha, of residential buildings. Without the already new houses built on the Bryn and Penderri road. Schools in this area are already struggling with the intake of children. Accessing the M4 from this area leads down into the small village road of Llangennech, which already sees more than 7,000 vehicles passing through every day. This village main road has resident parking along one side of the road which narrows it considerably especially when encountering large vehicles ie, buses. There are health and safety issues.

Proposals that could connect distinct villages is unacceptable, as you are coalescing urban development and losing individual village identity (Bryn/Llangennech). Extensions to villages should therefore be located away from other nearby village boundaries.

If this site was to be developed it would create ribbon development along the B4297 which is at odds with existing landscape character and settlement patterns and may form barriers for ecology.

Bryn has been subject to a high volume of residential development with over 300 homes being built in the last 4 years, with the pressure that this has brought to bear on infrastructure and services.

As plan 086/014 this area has wildlife which are very important to our environment and this land is unsuitable for houses as previously reported to us by the Community Council. It is also the last area of green belt in the village which would also merge the villages of Bryn to Llangennech.

I think all this housing which is being planned is appalling. There is total Insuffient/Inadequate Infrastructure in Llangennech/Bryn to manage this. Also the road network will be unable to cope with the traffic. A lot of this would come from the motorway and through the village there is parked cars and if it gets much busier there will be a tragedy at some point. It is very narrow and any extra vehicles to support all this housing is utterly wrong. This particular site is loss of narrow green belt resulting in the merger of the villages of Bryn and Llangennech

Having lived in Llanelli for 60 years and been a resident of Llangennech for the last 13 years the increased housing developments have put increasing loads on the local infrastructure. Our schools are at capacity, our road links are inadequate. The area is becoming a commuter satellite of Swansea/Cardiff which we cannot cope with. Future developments will only add to the problems. This is not only a problem with this proposed site but many in the Bryn/Bynea/Llangennech and Hendy areas. There is strong local objection to these proposals; you would have more objections if this procedure was more user friendly

The roads in the area are not able to support an increase in traffic, the same applies to our schools, Doctor's surgeries and drainage systems.
Also the environmental consequences; the destruction of beautiful green space and damage to wildlife. There are brown/derelict sites in the County which need improving and could be used. The health implications on residents of increased traffic through our villages. I feel the need for extra housing is not in our area but in other parts of the Country, many houses are taking so long to be sold, this does not reflect a housing shortage here.

This field is part of the small green belt separating Bryn and Llangennech, its loss will result in the merging of Bryn and Llangennech into one homogenised suburb for commuters and the loss of all local identity.
Current residents finding it impossible to find nursery/school spaces
Drainage/sewerage issues
Llangennech already incredibly congested at all times of the day
Disastrous consequences to wildlife (already dispossessed of multiple sites as a result of large new builds on farmland).
We currently have numerous builds going on - creaking infrastructure will not survive further new builds.

Object to further development in Bryn. There is potential for 1,000+ new residents all requiring health care, schooling, nursery, community services and transport links. None of these are currently in place.

These fields are cultivated annually with cattle and sheep grazing. There is also a requirement for land for food / crops in the face of leaving the EU.

Both sites are well known red kite feeding areas, also favourite sites for curlews, endangered in this area. SR/086/028 is on the skyline, also holds a water supply pipe to Penlan Farm. Entrance/exit for both areas would be onto very busy main road. Many old age and infirm residents of Penlan would be adversely affected if these two areas should become building sites.
