Representation Summary:

Surface water from this development would enter a stream which flows underneath Capel Seion Road near Tynewydd. Two pipes which convey the stream under the road might not have sufficient capacity during heavy rainfall to cope with surges in surface water flows. It is well known that surface water runs off considerably faster and in greater quantity from residential areas than from agricultural land. In order to prevent flooding, the development should only be allowed to proceed when the culverts under Capel Seion Road have adequate capacity.
Surface water from SR/049/002, SR/049/003 and SR/049/014 would result in further overloading.

Representation Summary:

Access to this land is on a very narrow, very busy road (because of traffic from the quarry). Also building houses on this land would increase the traffic on Mary street which is already very busy.

Mae Heol Capel Seion a Heol Ddu yn heol brysur a pheryglus gyda loriau 42 tunnell yn teithio'n rheolaidd 6 diwrnod yr wyhnos o 6 y bore hyd at 6 yr hwyr.

Byddai cynllun o'r fath yn colli cymeriad y pentref ac yn dinistrio safle'r iaith Gymraeg o fewn y pentref.

mae Heol Ddu a Heol Capel Seion yn rhai cul, ac ddim wedi'i cynllunio ar gyfer cael traffig trwm i deithio arnynt. Mae na ddigon o broblemau yno'n barod pan fod loriau a ceir yn dod i gwrdd ei gilydd. Byddai mwy o dai yn cynyddu dwyster y broblem

Representation Summary:

Drefach village development sites would be unsuitable and put extra burden on utilities and amenities. Including:
1. Water supply.
2. Sewerage.
3. Facilities at surgery - access to doctors, nurses etc. already limited.
4. Dental care availability.
5. School capacity for primary and secondary school pupils.
6. Traffic problems due to increase in volume.
7. Parking facilities outside houses causing use of nearby streets.
8. Lack of local employment.
9. Change ethos and character of the village into non-Welsh speaking losing present Welsh language and community spirit.
10. Change landscape, sites are locate on green fields rather than brown sites.

Mae loriiau enfawr yn defnyddio 'r heol yma i fyny i'r cwar ym Mynydd cerrig. Nid yw datblygiad o'r fath yn mynd i hwyluso'r sefyllfa ond ei waethygu. Nid yw'r llecyn yn addas i dderbyn unrhyw ddatblygiad pellach , byddai'n dda o beth i griw y Cyngor Sir i fod yn bresennol i dystio i hyn.

Representation Summary:

These are on green belt & would alter the character of the village & there would be a loss of prime farming land. Also it would reduce the gap between Drefach & Cefneithin & potentially it would merge two villages. There is also a parcel of land (not numbered) on bend opposite the primary school - which is in a vey dangerous spot for access.
