In total 30 acres of land have been put forward for consideration. Drefach as farmed by my great grandparents will vanish if even half of this is allowed to proceed. The harm to the community will be sen through the diminishing of the Welsh language as the primary languages well as the knock to the community of having an influx of people move to the village in a short space of time (20 years is a short time in village life)

Concern regarding number/size of potential sites for Drefach being in excess of the foreseeable demand for housing development in the locality taking into account (a) the sites previously approved but yet to be developed and (b) the extensive recent/on-going housing developments in Drefach, Cefneithin and Crosshands. This significant level of development does not appear to be matched in most other areas of the County where the demand for further development is arguably greater. We are also concerned regarding the capacity of local infrastructure both in terms of direct services (sewerage etc) and indirect services (health/ GP, dental, schools etc).
