Laugharne Township Community Council object to residential development on this land as Cross Inn is a small scattered hamlet and this area would greatly increase its size disproportionally. It constitutes ribbon development along a dangerous road and extends the community limits rather than infilling.

The sum of the Sites in Cross Inn would increase the overall size of Cross Inn by approximately two-and a half times. This is excessive. Site SR/166/003 needs to be expunged from the NDP for the reasons in the full Representation Text, The site lies in an area of Natural Outstanding Beauty and should not even be considered for inclusion in the NDP without a full Visual Impact Assesment being made prior to being included. Taking into account the number (and capacity) of other Sites in the NDP 2018-2033 in the area, development here is not justified by local needs.
