There are serious and ongoing concerns regarding flooding in this area which would be exacerbated with any further developments there.

Development on this land would remove an existing family livelihood, negatively impact upon the visual amenity and be an unnecessary development in that there are existing brownfield sites that are more suited to development.

The former Creamery site is one that is overdue for development and could add to the town significantly in a positive way. Any development should include a generous provision for parking.

Concerns about flooding and water ingress for existing and any new properties in this area should be addressed before any development is allowed.

The Council object to the development in this area because there is insufficient parking now, and any further development would just add to the issues in the vicinity. In addition it is on a flood plain and so existing and any future residents would be faced with increased ongoing risk of water ingress and damage. The current development at this site is not well managed and it is feared that additional houses would only exacerbate the problem. It is right in the centre of the town and any development would also remove the visual amenity of the existing residents,
