Drefach village development sites would be unsuitable and put extra burden on utilities and amenities. Including:
1. Water supply.
2. Sewerage.
3. Facilities at surgery - access to doctors, nurses etc. already limited.
4. Dental care availability.
5. School capacity for primary and secondary school pupils.
6. Traffic problems due to increase in volume.
7. Parking facilities outside houses causing use of nearby streets.
8. Lack of local employment.
9. Change ethos and character of the village into non-Welsh speaking losing present Welsh language and community spirit.
10. Change landscape, sites are locate on green fields rather than brown sites.

Mae y tir yma ar y ffordd allan o Drefach at Cross Hands. Mae'n ymestyn terfynau'r pentref. Does dim galw am dai newydd mewn ardal sydd tu hwnt i 'r pentref
Mae heolydd y pentref yn orlawn ar hyn o bryd.
Sut fydd hi pan fydd yna gynnydd sylweddol o ran trafnidiaeth?
Beth os fydd yna Ysgol ardal ar safle'r Gwendraeth yn y
dyfodol- Beth fydd yr effaith?
A oes yna isadeiledd addas i gwrdd a gofynion y datblygiad hwn?
Ar hyn o bryd mae canran o tua 64% o bobl Drefach yn medru a
defnyddio'r Gymraeg. Rhaid gwarchod hynny.

Concerns exist around SR/ 049/ 003 and SR/ 049/ 014, just off Heol Caegwyn, as this would mean the loss of green space close to the centre of the village, which would essentially change the nature and character of the area.

Concerns have been expressed locally with regards to access to this site, and with regards to the potential loss of green space, which is used by walkers via the public right of way.

The proposed development site would have severe adverse effects on community life in terms of:
- increased traffic and resultant road risk;
- potential adverse effects on Welsh Language and culture;
- increased risk of pollution and air quality

These are on green belt & would alter the character of the village & there would be a loss of prime farming land. Also it would reduce the gap between Drefach & Cefneithin & potentially it would merge two villages. There is also a parcel of land (not numbered) on bend opposite the primary school - which is in a vey dangerous spot for access.

Also it would reduce the gap between Drefach and Cefneithin and it could potentially merge at a later date. There is also a parcel of land (not numbered) on bend opposite Primary school in a very dangerous sport for access

Restrict development to infill sites within the village. Restricted social housing.
