- Poor infrastructure (i.e. broadband) unable to support new housing in the village

Representation Summary:

This site is along a single track no through road with a 90o blind bend between it and the village road. Any development, particularly multiple, would mean more traffic down this lane. There are few amenities in the village, no shop, school, only three buses a week, thus the use of a car is essential to anyone moving here. Houses here do not sell quickly, one in the lane has been for sale for a number of years and we believe the need for new development in this village is neither necessary or sustainable by the services available.

Respondent: Mr Edmund Williams

Representation Summary:

I strongly object to the proposed inclusion of these sites in the LDP.

Quite simply, the village is not the right location for new housing development. There are virtually no facilities and most importantly, no jobs. Transport links are extremely limited and Broadband, an important factor today, is very poor, with little prospect of improvement.

The sites are nowhere near the village centre, being located down a narrow country lane. The disruption to get power and sewerage to the sites would be considerable, but that wouldn't be a prime consideration if these were the right locations.

However, they are not.
