Rwy'n gwrthwynebu cynnwys y safle SR/139/002
1. Gwrthodwyd y safle yn 2014. Ar wahan i'r posibiliad o newid y mynedfa does dim dim arall wedi newid gyda'r un problemau yn parhau.
2. Nid oes gofyn am fwy o dai yn y pentref, gyda tua 20 ar werth ar hyn o bryd.
3. Mae un rhan o'r safle yn dir amaeth da a'r rhan arall yn rhan bwysig o ddraeniad dwr glaw yr ardal. Mae concritio caeau yn mynd i achosi problemau.
4. Nid yw yn estyniad naturiol i'r pentref.
5. Mae nifer y tai awgrymir yn ddatblygiad TREFOL.

Representation Summary:

Proposed scale and density of development is not within character of the current area. Residents of this area have chosen to live in rural surroundings. This development does not fit the character of the area.

Roadway and access is inadequate for a development of this scale.

Loss quality agricultural land (top field)

Frequent issues with flooding and surface water (lower field). Site is not suitable for development.

Considering the nearby development areas (Foelgastell and Cefneithin) it's doubtful that there is demand for another development of this scale in the area.

I wish to register my opposition to the inclusion of both sites - SR/139/001 (Middleton-Bolgoed) and SR/139/002 (fields adjacent to Llwyn Henri) - in the revised local Development plan 2018-2033 due to the impact it will have on neighbouring properties and the impact of increased traffic through the village. I also have concerns regarding existing problems regarding surface water and floods due to developments due to take place on flood zones.

I wish to register my opposition to the development of site SR/139/002 in porthyrhyd. My major concern is the size of this proposed development and the effects this would have on the local population, in particular llanddarog school which serves this area. The school is already over capacity and a housing estate of over 30 houses would have a major impact on the ability of the school to accommodate local Children and is likely to effect current pupil's quality of education as the schools resources are overwhelmed.

Representation Summary:

Myself and my husband object to this site being built in our quiet village of Porthyrhyd. It has a lovely community feel at the moment and we'd like to keep it that way - building more houses will increase traffic and commuting in the area. The proposed site will have a negative impact on neighbouring properties - 32 properties is a lot to build in such a small village which will change the feel of the community completely! The site will also cause loss of agricultural land in Porthyrhyd.

Representation Summary:

Traffic issues already exist, to my knowledge there hasn't been an accident yet, building 32+ properties will only increase the chances of something happening. The area is agricultural with livestock and wildlife very close, development will impact negatively on the local farms. Property values will be slashed and the ability to sell properties will become even harder. There is already a flooding issue, the development will only add to this. The development will only damage this community and have long term effects on the residents and the area, more vehicles will not be sustainable. I strenuously object to development.

Representation Summary:

I object to planning in this area because of existing flood zone problems, putting 32+ properties in this area will only add to the problems. Local traffic issues exist around the MOT garage and the extra traffic from 32+ houses will only add to the issue. The land is agricultural and should stay as so. Building properties in this area will impact on the livestock and wildlife in an unsustainable way. The local farms are going to suffer terribly. Properties in the area will suffer from value loss making selling more difficult than it is now. No development please.

Representation Summary:

Flooding/Surface water - Close proximity of Gwendraeth Fach river identified as liable to flooding. NRW identified site within flood risk area categorised Zone C2 - TAN 15. Surface water issues due to general topography of site. Waterlogging and standing water.

Pollution - Greenfield site - Potential to overload current sewerage capacity.

Landscape/wildlife - Unwanted incursion into countryside and to detriment of landscape.

Devaluation of current settlements - loss of privacy and light.

Increased vehicular traffic - pollution - population increase.

SR/139/002 is NOT a natural extension of existing residential properties. Land used from an agricultural perspective with working small holding.

I wish to register my opposition to the inclusion of SR/139/002 ( Fields adjacent to Llwyn Henri ) in the revised Local Development Plan 2018 - 2033.
Development of the site will lead to the loss of agricultural land and due to the size and density of the development will increase traffic and congestion in the village. It will impact on the existing adjacent properties, and put pressure on local services including local schools which are currently operating at full capacity. A development of this size is not sustainable.

Hoffwn i wrthwynebu'n gryf yn erbyn y cynllun hwn. Mae'r un safle wedi cael ei wrthod yn y gorffennol am yr un rhesymau sydd dal yn bodoli heddiw. Problemau gyda dwr glaw a llifogydd yn barod. Problemau traffig a thrafnidiaeth yn barod ar yr heol- does dim lle i ddau gar pasio ei gilydd. Basai cynnydd o ran traffig a'r cymudo yn arwain at fwy o broblemau. Colli tir amaethyddol da yn enwedig y cae uchaf. Basai effaith cynyddol hefyd ar y tai cyfagos. Felly, nid yw'r cynllun hwn yn gynaliadwy o gwbl.

I strongly object to the planning. It will cause more problems. I am constantly seeing flooded fields outside my windows and the thought of having more traffic on the road is very worrying as more traffic turning into entrances is an additional problem. There are enough traffic, loading and turning problems here already causing me to reverse and wait constantly.
The visual amenity of a rural village would be under threat, it would completely destroy the character of our neighbourhood. The extra noise and disturbance is also a big worry. I strongly object to the planning.

I wish to register my opposition to the inclusion of both sites SR/139/001(middleton/bolgoed) and SR /139/002. Specifically I object to the density of housing planned with one portion of the land yet again being on a desgnated flood plain. Yet anothe piece of agricultural land will be lost, traffic on a small lane will inevitably increase. Infrastructure, specifically primary school capacity will not be able to accommodate increased numbers of children.

Representation Summary:

The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 has 7 goals, of which one is supporting cohesive communities and another a vibrant culture and thriving Welsh language. Given the proposed number of dwellings I believe this would negatively impact an extremely strong community, in which supportive relationships thrive and the use of the Welsh language remains strong.
I also suspect there to be an adverse effect on traffic within the village.

Representation Summary:

I object for numerous reasons. Porthyrhyd has got plenty of issues as it is without any additional developments.
Sewerage issues - The system is already having issues because of the population.
Safety issues - In reference to site development the location is off a narrow lane, no pavement and already finding it hard to deal with traffic congestion through transport.
Flood Zone - The lower field of this development is in the flood zone. Water travels down from the top and all drains naturally in that field.
This development would not be sustainable.

After many many years we are still experiencing problems at our property of excrement and the contents of the sewers and drains entering our garden through a hole in the ground.

The possibility of building more houses in the village leaves us with the feeling of dread and the impact of this on not just us but the village also. The flooding is also an issue which needs to be taken into account.

Wildlife will also be disrupted by further development.

Fields adjacent to Llwyn Henri. J Edwards MP states that his constituents believe that the building of 32+ houses would have an overbearing impact on the area and neighbouring properties. It is stated that development would not be sustainable due to the loss of an agricultural field and an increase in traffic and congestion. J Edwards MP trusts that CCC will consider these objections as part of the consultation process and that they will form part of CCC response and adjustments to the plan going forward.
