Safleoedd Ymgeisio a Gyflwynwyd / Candidate Site Submissions

Representation ID: 1069

Received: 07/02/2019

Respondent: Mr & Mrs Barney & Pat Gill

Representation Summary:

Unsuitable candidate site as it is in open countryside with a presumption to protect such rural areas. Such a development would set a precedent for ribbon development, with extra pressure on the sewerage system & other village infrastructure.

Respondent: Llanedi Community Council

Representation Summary:

Following recent public consultation, a meeting of Llanedi Community Council on the 6th February 2018 agreed that we now wish to object to the inclusion of this site on to the LDP.
Our specific objection to this candidate site also includes concerns over:
* increased traffic through the village - this is already an issue
* the proximity to the school/health and safety issues
* drainage

Representation Summary:

Developing this site will ideally allow Llanedi to grow to maintain the community and public services for the following reasons: -
1. Close to the centre of the village/within its outer boundary set by the school.
2. The site is low laying, development would not impact on views from a wider area.
3. Connection to utilities would be easily achieved.
4. A suitable access can be made onto the public highway and pavements already exists to provide access around the village.
5. No protected ecological species to be disturbed.
6. Its developed would contribute to a vibrant village community
