Safleoedd Ymgeisio a Gyflwynwyd / Candidate Site Submissions

Respondent: Mr Peter Clement

Representation Summary:

I would like to voice my concern regarding the close proximity of the proposed application to the rear of existing houses at Clos Ty Gwyn, Hendy.
A house at this location could overlook the rear of my house, No.8 and a number of other houses, would be an invasion of privacy.
Access to this plot should be via their current Greenfield/Heol Morlais, however access via the rear of Clos Ty Gwyn, would also be a problem.
It's essential that we maintain clear and unobstructed access to the rear of my house as the only means of access with NO STEPS.

Respondent: Llanedi Community Council

Representation Summary:

Following public consultation, a meeting of Llanedi Community Council Council on the 6th February 2018 agreed that we wish to object to all future large scale (5 plus houses) proposals for residential development in Hendy and Forest. Significant development has already taken place in recent years in the area. We are also concerned about the impact of future developments in Pontarddulais on our community.
Our specific objection to this candidate site also includes concerns over:
* impact upon traffic in the village
* impact on existing services (schools, surgeries, dentists etc.) and utilities/infrastructure (e.g. drainage)
* negative environmental impact

Respondent: Mr Spencer Green

Representation Summary:

I wish to protect the greenfield site for future generations as it is a Special Landscape Area. Any development on this land would contravene EQ6, TAN15, SP12, SP13, SP15, SP17 and PPW para 9.1.2, and would also go against he Wellbeing Act. Also, Fforest cannot cope with any more development due to lack of infrastructure, increasing road and motorway congestion, increasing pollution, and the detrimental effect on existing property prices that would occur on houses near these green areas. There are also rare birds of prey and wildlife habitats which must not be disturbed. Please respect our beautiful village.
