Representation Summary:

The housing need in Garnant is low. There is low demand for social housing; the private housing market is not thriving so there is only limited need for additional housing in this ward. This land is at an end of the village location and if developed would result in sprawling development in the village, diminishing the community feeling. The land has not been worked and as such contains a wide variety of flora and fauna. The loss of this habitat would result in reduction of valuable wildlife habitat.

Representation Summary:

There is currently a public footpath going across this land which I use on a regular basis and see others also using. This land is used by the local wildlife and I feel it would be a big loss if its use were to be changed to residential. There is no demand to live in this area due to its distance from the shops and the expense of public transport, building more houses in the area would be a waste of resources that should be used elsewhere.
