It is difficult to see how the current road infrastructure, utilities and traffic situation would support such a proposed development.

As a neighbouring property to the proposed applicant's property, we express our objection to this application being approved. An increase in residential properties, raises our severe concern over the possible increase of road traffic accessing the site, using the unsuitable narrow single laned rural lane, which borders the side of our property. There are no areas available or suitable (or will be) to allow vehicles to pass each other. Vehicles already drive onto our driveway (our land) as to allow them to pass each other.

I object on the grounds of traffic hazards due to the location of the site access lane, which is on a blind bend at the top of a steep and winding hill.
The lane through Croesyceiliog village is heavily used by very wide agricultural vehicles and trailers, especially during the summer harvesting and subsequent slurry spreading.

- The proposed site does not comply with the "Preferred Strategy" and should not be considered further.
Specifically, the site:
is isolated & clearly divorced from the existing rural village & would result in development in the open countryside.
is not "infill" or a "logical extension" to the rural village.
would not comply with the principles of spatial sustainability.
disproportionate in size compared to the existing village.
-There are significant highways & access concerns, particularly to local school children.
-This is a Special Landscape Area & this development would pose a visual impact on the historical landscape.

Site is entirely unsuitable for development and contrary to policies of the Preferred Strategy/assessment criteria.
* Development in open countryside. Not infill or logical extension of existing settlement.
* Sustainability. Croesyceiliog - tiny village with no public facilities.
* Access -via narrow farm track (regularly used by tractors) and dangerous junction on brow of hill.
* Steep topography sloping directly to Afon Tywi (SAC and SSSI)-risk of pollution.
* Ruin quiet enjoyment of existing residents.
* Increased traffic on narrow lane would render a section of the Wales Coastal Path and Cycle route 4 unsafe, and endanger school children.

The suggested use of this site for residential development is completely inappropriate. The access lane along a single lane track cannot provide for sufficient access. The village infrastructure cannot provide for the scale of development. The road through the village could not support the vehicle numbers.
