Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I would like to strongly object to the proposal SR/098/002 and 001. Below are the main reasons for my objection:
Llanllwch has very poor access routes that link these proposed sites to main roads. There are very narrow and steep hill roads and a winding single lane road through the village - both regularly cause problems to drivers.
The terrain of the proposed site is extremely steep and the adjacent access road is difficult to drive and treacherous in winter.
The infrastructure is not capable of supporting such a development.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Inadequate and dangerous access to sites
Weight restriction on bridge at Mill Row (7.5 tonnes)
Bridge already been damaged many times
Ongoing traffic calming project w/WAG
Single lane road with no way of widening
Road becomes gridlocked daily
Road already a diversion when accidents occur on A40
No footpaths
Very high risk of flooding to Mill Row
Inadequate sewage system
Removal of hedgerows
Hill treacherous and impassable during icy weather - vehicles been abandoned previously for days
Damage to dwellings already occurring due to large vehicles hitting them
Invasion of privacy

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Concerns relate to two Candidate Sites SR/098/001 and SR/098/002 the issues in the main are the same for both sites.
Access to both sites SR/098/001 and SR/098/002 is restricted by the narrowness of the access road, both through the village of Llanllwch and down the hill from AlltyCnap Road.
Proposed developments would cause an increase in traffic in an already well documented problematic area.
Lack of mains gas to the proposed sites.
Increased potential of flooding due to increased run off to storm drains and the stream
Far more suitable sites have been proposed within close proximity to Llanllwch.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Sites SR/098/001 and SR/098/002 are not suitable for development because they are not easily accessed, they do not have appropriate service infrastructure and any development would lead to an increase in the volume of traffic through the village. Issues with traffic in Llanllwch have been raised many times, the number and size of vehicles and the speed that they come through the village makes it very dangerous for pedestrians and there has been a number of instances of damage to property.
We are also concerned about flooding and whether the sewer system could handle this many new houses.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Summary :

Topography of site is unsuitable.
Access not possible without major re-routing of existing minor roads.
This is the case if access is sought from either direction - narrow bridge from one direction, dangerous junction from the other. Also encroachment on boundary of existing property.
No existing services or amenities.
No discernible call for development.
Would entail removable of agricultural land.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The road serving both these parcels of land is a narrow single track carriageway, approaching from Alltycnap road it is a steep descent down hill with high hedge banks and no passing places.

Approaching from Llanllwch village from the bridge it is again single track with hedge banks. This road is very busy during working day morning with frequent congestion caused by vehicles travelling to and from the Industrial estate. the road is totally inadequate to service any further housing development in the area.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The respondent objects on the following basis.

1. Coalescence of the settlements of Llanllwch and Johnstown.
2. Eradication of green space
3. Ruin the public view
4. Loss of privacy for residents
5. Loss of sunlight to some residents
6. Dangerous Access
7. The roads and infrastructure immediately surrounding this piece of land do not have the capacity to cope with extra traffic.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

We write in connection to LDP application: Ref SR/098/001 also SR/098/002 in the village of Llanllwch.

We live next to both sites and wish to strongly OBJECT to any development on either site.

Because of the existing on-going problem with the volume of traffic already using this village as a short cut causing concern for highway safety! There are twelve hundred houses / homes already being built at Travellers Rest which is a huge concern in the village as it already suffers from severe traffic congestion, the infrastructure cannot take any more traffic along the narrow roads its becoming dangerous! We live adjacent to both proposed sites, and are asking that you refuse these applications. SR/098/002 has already been refused on previous occasions.

We believe that infrastructure through the village is inadequate, mainly roads too narrow and lack of public foot paths also two bridges which are very narrow as well as the existing problem of the volume of traffic.
