Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I fully object to the inclusion of Plas Isaf/Golwg yr Afon on the LDP. I have been in correspondence with CCC since 2017 on this matter.
My objection includes environmental issues, access to the land, the removal of the park by CCC, infrastructure including access to schools, doctors surgeries, hospital, sewerage etc. There are old mine workings and streams in the area. I am also concerned about the stability of land that existing houses are built on and existing subsidence in the road on Heol Plas Isaf

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

This land was under the previous LDP, and despite receiving no interest, has come back as a candidate site, during this time, The County Council has bulldozed the area twice at least, this are is a natural habitat of birds and bats, there is even a woodpecker present. The Japanese Knotweed, has been unleashed with a vengeance, also the County council has removed the playing area, despite the Community Council showing an interest in taking over!
A community meeting was held last year with regards this proposal, and there is considerable opposition to this proposal, in the meeting, Subsidence, Sewerage,

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

We will be losing the green and wooded areas used by walkers. I am shocked when exercise and recreation should be encouraged to lower obesity levels , the playground of the Plas isaf estate has been removed. This is an area where we can enjoy watching numerous species of birds , bats and animals. There is still Japanese Knotweed on the land despite the council having sprayed chemicals. This land as it is would be unusable for development for some time.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Not enough safe access. Not enough school spaces. Not enough access to doctors. potential drainage issue in plaf isaf (has a history). Removal of important wild animal habitats. Land is on a flood risk area. putting tarmac and concrete on the land will risk surface water in the area. Poor parking in the village near to shops etc. This will be made worse. Too much traffic in the village already.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I wish to object to the proposed planning application, SR/086/027, . The additional traffic that these extra dwellings would inevitably produce would make it even more dangerous when trying to join Hendre rd, from Heol Plas Isaf, .
with the loss of wildlife in the area , including owls , bats and woodpeckers.
the area was treated for Japanese knot weed, last year i believe, it has come back with as much vigor has before,
The area is in a flood plain.
The proposed entrance to this site , i believe, would involve the removal of a children park.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

In the local area the roads are already congested, with the development of more housing road congestion will increase, leading to health issues and possible accidents.
There are no more available school places
Demand for medical services, including a doctor is high now and with additional homes being developed demand will increase.
The area is over developed now, there are few employment opportunities for the local area.
Local services, such as sewerage are stretched now. More housing will place even more pressure on services.
There is a potential for environmental damage which could affect local wildlife.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Increase in traffic within the area which is already a major problem; impact on school placements; insufficient amenities within the area to sustain an increase in population; site has Japanese knotweed and development could end up contaminating other homes; problems with sinkholes and mineshafts due to previous mining activity so not suitable for building on; Cul de sac at Golwg yr Afon and the road leading to is not able to sustain an increase in traffic; taking away habitats for wildlife in th area.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I am concerned about the increase in traffic in the area, particularly as i have two young children. The noise pollution that comes with building of houses, especially as i work night shifts. Increase in population would affect the local GP surgery and schools. I am concerned about the wildlife in the area if there was building work. I personally think it would affect the wellbeing of myself, family and conmunity.

Main shaft for old mine workings
Sink hole 1997 caused by the above - Heol Plas Isaf
There are areas in this proposed site owned by Beaufort Group
Area contains badly contaminated previously ineffectiveness treated Japanese knotweed
Together with huge development at the Bryn with challenges to roads, schools and health services. Have you even considered the narrow road through the village with increased traffic?

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

This land is adjacent to my house and I will object to any development that devalues my property. At present I cannot support or object to the development because of lack of information. E.g:
1 Type of housing.
2 Number of houses to be built.
3 Access to proposed site.
Storm water from the Close is piped under my lawn into proposed site.
I assume that current protection orders on trees will be respected and that Japanese Knot Weed identified by the Council survey will be treated and not ignored as at present.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Devolpment of this land will significantly increase pressures on already stretched local facilities such as GPS and schools as well as causing increased traffic in the area following other recently completed developments. The site also is knotweed infested where recent treatment has failed and the historic mine shafts in the area already caused a sinkhole to appear in 1997- some time after the current development was completed. There is a clear lack of recreational facilities in the area and the land would be better served if used to provide this.

This site is a very important habitat for wildlife, bats, foxes, rabbits, grass snakes, frogs and numerous birds including woodpeckers, sparrow hawks and kingfishers along a nearby brook. A very popular play area has already been dismantled without the consent of the local Community Council who, were under the impression they were to gain this park as an asset transfer from Carmarthen County Council.

I fully object to the inclusion of Land behind Clos Plas Isaf/Clos Cae Fainc SR/086/027 on the LDP.
My objections include wildlife and natural habitat on the land which directly behind us. We have Woodpeckers , bats and all sorts of other birds coming into our garden. If this land was developed all the wildlife would be destroyed. My other objections include environmental issues, access to the land, infrastructure including access to schools , doctors surgeries, hospital, sewerage and there are old mine workings and streams. Also under Section 278 a huge issue of road access and traffic.

Under section 278 roads access the current road system and traffic would not cope with any increase in volume of vehicle activity.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Having lived in Llanelli for 60 years and been a resident of Llangennech for the last 13 years the increased housing developments have put increasing loads on the local infrastructure. Our schools are at capacity, our road links are inadequate. The area is becoming a commuter satellite of Swansea/Cardiff which we cannot cope with. Future developments will only add to the problems. This is not only a problem with this proposed site but many in the Bryn/Bynea/Llangennech and Hendy areas. There is strong local objection to these proposals; you would have more objections if this procedure was more user friendly

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The roads in the area are not able to support an increase in traffic, the same applies to our schools, Doctor's surgeries and drainage systems.
Also the environmental consequences; the destruction of beautiful green space and damage to wildlife. There are brown/derelict sites in the County which need improving and could be used. The health implications on residents of increased traffic through our villages. I feel the need for extra housing is not in our area but in other parts of the Country, many houses are taking so long to be sold, this does not reflect a housing shortage here.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

1. Area of rare biological and wildlife needs protecting.
2. Quality of life for residents...roads already congested due to lack of infrastucture. Adds to mental health issues and stress.
3. More investment in doctors surgeries, hospitals, schools etc before any more new builds. System already pressurized.
4. Area is semi rural...do not want it suburbanised.
5. People have moved here for a quieter, less chaotic lifestyle. This is being threatened.
6. Air pollution and environmental impacts on human and animals.
7. Road through Llangennech village already dangerous and narrow. Not suitable for further growth.

increase in population will impact on GP's availability, school class sizes, increase in risk due to significant increase in traffic in the area, lack of recreational facilities.

* The specified area contains the main shaft for old mine workings in this area.
* Heol Plas Isaf was subject to a significant sink hole in 1997
* metre wide 'ransom strip' owned by Beaufort Group (formerly BJ Homes), Swansea.
* The area is badly contaminated with Japanese knotweed.
recent developments at Penderry Road, Bryn which have already resulted in a significant increase to the population of this area and associated risks.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I object to the planning development of houses in Plas Isaf as it would not be in keeping with the current state of housing. Also, the proposed increase in traffic is not desirable with the road network not suitable for the proposed 300 house holds worth of vehicles. The endless work to complete this new housing estate would also cause a huge disruption and lower the values of the current resident's houses.

Objects on the following grounds:
a) Loss of privacy to the detriment of the enjoyment of residents in their gardens.
b) Destruction of a thriving wildlife habitat behind Heol Plas Isaf and the area within the plan.
c) Devaluation of properties in the area
d) Loss of safety aspects for residents due t increased traffic.
e) Increased noise levels due to increased traffic and additional properties.
f) Strain on local amenities such as doctors surgery, also there is no post office in the village.
g) I also understand that the play area at the side of Heol Plas Isaf was removed even though there was interest expressed in taking on responsibility for it. This is detrimental to children in this area.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Rwy'n datgan fy ngwrthwynebiad I gynnwys y tir ym Mhlas Isaf /Golwg yr Afon, Llangennech yn y Cynllun Datblygu Lleol. Credaf y dylai'r tir gael ei ddiogelu am fod anifeiliaid, creaduriaid a rhywogaethau gwarchodedig yn byw yno. Yn ogystal, rhaid ystyried y mynediad i'r tir a'r rhwydwaith y ffyrdd gan nad yw'n addas am ragor o ddatblygiad yn yr ardal. Rhaid hefyd ystyried yr effaith amgylcheddol a'r system carthffosiaeth a'r ffaith fod problemau eisoes yn bodoli gyda'r system carthffosiaeth bresennol.

I wish to state my objection to the inclusion of the land at Plas Isaf/Golwg yr Afon, Llangennech in the Local Development Plan. I believe that the land should be protected because animals, creatures and protected species live there. In addition, access to the land and the road network must be considered as it is not suitable for further development in the area. Consideration must also be given to the environmental impact and the sewerage system and the fact that problems already exist with the current sewerage system.
