Over the last 8years the traffic has gone horrendous through the village, we can't get appointments in local gp surgery's due the number of people in the area.Theres no room in schools for children who currently live in bynea, school applications are being rejected as they are full.We have had a lack of services for the last 8years no broadband in the area,bt won't update the phone lines. This should be more of a priority than building more house when they ones that are here already are missing out on facilities!

There should be no more residential development in the Bryn area. The infrastructure is insufficient, healthcare support such as doctors surgeries are lacking, local schools are already at maximum capacity and people are having to travel out of the area for schools, there is already inadequate drainage in the lower village and flooding is frequent, the road network is already straining Especially the M4 junction, Wildlife and their habitat is constantly being displaced such as protected bat species.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Infrastructure is completely inadequate to support further residential development.
Healthcare system is overloaded - local surgery has stopped taking new patients.
Lack of primary school places - English medium schools have stopped intake presently.
Inadequate sewerage system - difficulties already with partly completed Persimmon site at Penderri road - fears were raised to you at the consultation stage.
Concerns over drainage/flooding risks especially on low-lying land.
Road network will be unable to cope with increased traffic - congestion at times presently.
Concerns over wildlife being decimated in time.
Concerns over the estuary being further polluted by sewerage overspill.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I STRONGLY OBJECT to this application for the following reasons:-
Insufficient infrastructure in an area already struggling to cope.
Gp surgery's already full to capacity and added stress on local hospital.
No places for extra children in local schools as all are full.
Huge concerns about excessive demands on sewerage and surface water.
Lack of local amenities leading to a car based community.
Lack of adequate parking, more traffic on already congested area!
Area on flood plain and nearer the sea.
Impact on wildlife and endangered and protected species in marsh lands.

No English medium primary school places available at present (only Welsh medium at Llangennech).
Inadequate sewerage system - problems already at Persimmon site in Penderri road - as warned during consultation.
Dangers of worsening flooding/drainage issues.
Road system already unable to cope at certain times. M4 J48 is already a nightmare.
Local wildlife will be decimated in time.
Estuary problems will be exacerbated-concerns over further pollution by sewerage.

8 years living in Bynea and work at Gowerton. Travel to work when first moved here was good with no traffic and only took 10 minute. Now it takes up to half hour to travel from my house to Gowerton and you propose to increase the development. That's a long time to travel for only 4 miles. I see a lot of foxes running around the streets due to the developments pushing them out. With the proposed developments due you popped to upgrade sewer systems phone lines roads, schools, doctors. Can't even get an appointment with the doctors now

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

My main two points on these objections now are that there is absolute insufficient and inaequate infrastructure to cope with any extra housing in this area and then the road network is totally unable to cope with extra traffic (llangennech already incredibly congested at all times of the day) - any more cars coming through could be very dangerous to the local community. PLEASE THINK

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I object in the strongest possible terms. The existing infrastructure is inadequate. I am concerned that Clos Y Gerddi will become a 'rat run' to the new development and beyond. The street is not big enough to provide access to the proposed development site. There will inevitably be a negative impact on wildlife and the nearby nature reserve. There are already issues with school places; access to doctors' surgeries, dentists and healthcare. The roads in the area are not sufficient to cope with the increased volume of traffic. There are issues with drainage and sewerage in the area.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I'm very concerned that Clos Y Gerddi will become the access route to the development site. It's not big enough for construction traffic and will not be adequate for a site with 100 plus houses. The nature and wildlife of the area will suffer; losing green space and harming the nearby nature reserve. Local services and the infrastructure will struggle to cope. There is already a shortage of school places and new residents struggle to register with local doctors' and dentists' surgeries. The increased traffic will have a negative impact on the health and quality of life of local residents.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Lack of infrastructure
Distribution for local residents,
Clos Y Gerddi is too small a road to allow access to building equipment and residents of this magnitude.
Local schools can not support the children already based in the area, no room for more.
Local doctor surgery's cannot support the amount of residents currently living in the local area, its impossible to get an appointment now, let alone with additional residents.
Loss of agriculture.
Consequences to wildlife
Increase in traffic which is currently horrendous in the area, causing more polution - huge current affair which will draw media attention to councils decision.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The road network will not be able to cope with the extra volume of traffic the road is to small and already there are to many cars on the street making it a nightmare.
The healthcare centre is already difficult enough to get an appointment with many times unable to get one due to the amount of residents already in the area.
Due to been on a amber flood plane adding new houses will increase the risk of flooding. Disastrous consequences to wildlife in the area and inadequate info stucture lack of school places in the area

Insufficient/Inadequate Infrastructure
Lack of Healthcare i.e. places in Doctors Surgeries
Insufficient/Inadequate School Places (current residents finding it impossible to find nursery/school spaces)
Inadequate drainage/sewerage issues
Road network unable to copy with extra traffic
Disastrous consequences to wildlife (already dispossessed of multiple sites as a result of large new builds on farmland).
We currently have numerous large builds going on - creaking infrastructure will not survive further new builds.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

In summary, I strongly object to this planning request as it wil have a significant impact on congestion/parking, being able to obtain timely healthcare, a detrimental effect on the local wildlife, a sewerage & surface water drainage network that won't be able to cope with the extra demand & being able to get school places for children within the villages.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

IF this candidate site is designated for residential development, then NO entrance to the site should be allowed from Clos y Gerddi, which should be kept as a quiet cul-de-sac, and not be allowed to become a potential rat run.
Furthermore, IF this candidate site is designated for residential development, there should be a green space between the end properties of Clos y Gerddi and any potential development on this site, to protect the privacy and amenity of existing properties in Clos y Gerddi.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

1. Against residential development as in No. 1 on the (attached document)
2. Road network unable to cope with increased traffic
3. Disastrous/irrevocable consequences to wildlife
4. Inadequate drainage/sewerage
5. Difficulty getting GP/healthcare appointments
6. Insufficient/inadequate school places

We believe the level of residential development in the area is seriously getting out of control to the detriment of the local communities, current & future & needs to be carefully controlled.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The previous and continuing overdevelopment of Bynea has overwhelmed the existing infrastructure such as sewerage, traffic congestion, local education and health services. Development included on the previous LDP are as yet far from complete.

Once complete these will obviously further exacerbate the lack of facilities to cope with the number and type of additional developments proposed on the candidate site list.

Maintenance of open space and the creation of much needed leisure facilities for the area would be most welcome.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I object to the change of use from agricultural to residential for site reference SR/086/074 due to the narrow entrance to the site from Heol y Bwlch. Llwynhendy Health centre is inundated with patients at present and the addition of extra housing will put extra pressure on this organisation, making appointments even more difficult to get. There is also no pharmacy in Bynea.
